For us, meaningful travel is about the path taken, the people met, and the authentic moments in between. Moving beyond standard tourism, our goal is to help travelers discover the authenticity and raw beauty of each destination.
OUR STORY
From the Arctic to
the world
We are Mattia and Eva, a young couple - he is Italian, she is Slovak. Besides being Arctic guides, we are passionate travellers who turn our personal love for exploration into customized, authentic journeys for others.
Our story began in Rovaniemi, Finland, during exchange studies. It was love at first sight - not only with each other, but with the raw magic of Lapland. Standing beneath our very first Aurora, we promised ourselves we would one day make the Arctic our home. Some time later, we kept that promise and we moved back, graduated, and turned our passion into our profession as Arctic guides.
However, our passion for discovery has always gone beyond Lapland. Over the years, we have travelled the world, searching for places that leave a lasting impression. Destinations with unique landscapes, authentic cultures, and experiences that are too special not to be shared.
Because we are travellers first, we create journeys in places we truly know and love - destinations we have explored several times, experienced in different seasons, and connected with on a deeper level. Every expedition we design carries a piece of our own story. The hidden corners we discovered, the adventures that inspired us, and the moments that made us fall in love with a place are the same moments we want to share with you.

Taival is an ancient Finnish word that describes a journey as something deeper than simply reaching a destination.
It represents the path itself - the experiences, discoveries, challenges, and emotions that shape us along the way. Because we believe the best journeys are not about simply visiting a destination. They are about experiencing it, connecting with it, and creating memories that stay with us forever.

Our mission
It is quite simle - our goal is to send you home richer in memories, friendships, and stories you will still be telling decades from now.
A holiday lets you escape. An expedition helps you discover. We believe there’s a difference between being a tourist and being an explorer. An explorer isn’t just someone who climbs the highest mountains or seeks extreme adventures. It’s also someone who stays curious, embraces the unknown, finds beauty in the smallest authentic moments, and steps beyond their comfort zone with an open mind.
Our expeditions are designed for those who want more than a destination. They are meant for those who want to learn, grow, connect with people and places, and return home changed - richer in memories, perspectives, and stories that will last a lifetime.
We create authentic experiences, as we know these places as home, not as tourist attractions. The people you travel with become part of the adventure. Whether you join solo or with friends, you’ll meet like-minded explorers from around the world.
None of us will ever have enough time to experience everything this world has to offer. Some of us will probably never visit every place or take every dreamed journey.
